My goodness, I do so love the early spring blooms. These 'Replete' double narcissus are just incredible, and I absolutely delight in enjoying a bouquet (or two...or ten!) around our home!⁣
⁣
Here's something you might not know, though...⁣
⁣
When you first see a wrapped bunch, you might think that narcissus are rather...shall we say underwhelming? That's because we harvest our stems at the *perfect* time to make sure you have the longest possible vase life. ⁣
⁣
This means that they won't look like this photo when you pick up your bouquet! Most of the heads will be closed or barely open. ⁣
⁣
But! Get them into a vase, and within a day they'll open up and start putting on a display like you wouldn't believe!⁣
⁣
You'll get to enjoy them a LOT longer than if you'd chosen a bouquet with already-open blooms (who knows how old those might be!). Also, be sure to change the water every two days and place your bouquets out of direct sun or moving air (heater, fan, etc) to keep them fresher longer.⁣
⁣

Typically the very first cut blooms on our farm, these creamy white double narcissus have earned their place on my list of favorites!⁣

What makes me love them even more is their intoxicating fragrance. To me, it's a sweet and peppery combination that just makes them all that more enjoyable in the vase.⁣
⁣
Decadent bouquets of these beauties will be available very soon--strictly on a first-come-first-served basis. We doubled our planting for this year, but these always go fast!!⁣

Hello, weekend! 🥰☕🍩We've been waiting for you all week!⁣

Before we left the suburbs for country life, we used to live a couple of blocks away from a doughnut shop. It was Rob's favorite weekend ritual to walk down and pick up a treat to enjoy while reading the paper.⁣
⁣
But it was one that I never joined in with him. Growing up, my parent's owned and ran our small town's bakery, and years of smelling doughnuts completely destroyed any interest I had in them. (I know, crazy, right?!)⁣
⁣
But when you marry a man who loves doughnuts, what can you do?! I certainly couldn't deny him this love!⁣
⁣
So I did what I always do and started tinkering and came up with a recipe that's free from gluten, egg, and dairy...plus lower in sugar and baked (not fried). We now have a delicious, and healthier, doughnut to enjoy on the weekends. ⁣
⁣
And guess what? I actually like them too!!⁣
⁣
